The WomanStats Project

(December 2014-Present)

I have worked for over three years as a Coder and Assistant Researcher for The WomanStats Project. The WomanStats project examines data from over 170 countries using 360 plus gendered variables. In addition to extracting data for the Project, I represented WomanStats in Beijing+20/CSW59 at the United Nations in March 2015, and presented our data at various other conferences. The WomanStats Project is the largest database on the status of women in the world. The Project was funded by a Department of Defense Minerva Grant, and the Women, Peace & Security initiative at the Bush School.

I am currently Dr. Valerie Hudson’s (founder of the Project) Graduate Assistant Researcher at the Bush School.

I strive, through gathering and processing such data, to empower women around the world to improve their situation through education and knowledge.
